Terre di Vendicari dates back to Borboni domination, around the XIX century: a wonderful manor farm, built in 1740, and a 40 year older olive mill. Terre di Vendicari is reborn thanks to the wise restoration done by the workers who made the reopening of Noto Cathedral happen in May 2007. At the beginning Terre di Vendicari was a farm business, rich in lemon trees, olive trees, centenary carob trees and the well-known almond trees from Avola; a magical place where bees come to produce their honey. About 1800 prickly pear cactus seem to defend the estate, while offering their fruits. Coming to Terre di Vendicari means taking a leap into the past, retrieving smells, colours and sensations which seemed lost. For the exclusive use of our guests, our terrace offers a breathtaking bird’s eye view over the tuna-fish factory, the nature reserve, the sea.
