In the marvellous scenery of Tuscany, among Florence, Siena and Chianti, a lot of special events are expected to celebrate the Summer in the best way. Stars and Merchants, an appointment in the sign of music and entertainment, will take place on the third Thursday of June, July and August, in Greve in Chianti, which will be the location also of the Singing Festival, from the 28th to 30th May. Greve in Chianti is going to give hospitality also to the event Dreams and Notes, every Tuesday, and to the Jazz Folk Classic, on July and August. In Lamole is expected the Summer Concert, every Sunday from July to September, with the special edition Pianoraro in August. You can enjoy many lyrical concerts with the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program, from 17th July to 5th August in Castello di Verrazzano, Panzano in Chianti and Greve in Chianti.

Then, the 11th edition of the Toscana Opera Festival will make your stay in Arezzo absolutely happy, full of culture, from 19th July to 10th August. The town of Pontassieve, in province of Florence, proposes the exhibition Antonio Ligabue, Primitive Painter, till 7th June 2009, in the Sala delle Colonne, historic venue inside the Municipal Building, whereas Florence, till 30th August, will be the venue of Galileo, Images of the Universe from the Past to the Telescope, in Palazzo Strozzi, paying tribute to the amazing activity of this famous artist. But Florence is also the venue of Memories of the Past in the Art of the XIX century, till 12th July, an exhibition to point out the characteristics of paintings and sculptures.

Anyway, the most waited event during the Italian Summer is, above all, the Palio di Siena, which will take place on 2nd July and 16th August, full of folklore and tradition. The competition will see 10 districts racing in Piazza del Campo, with the participation of the traditional flagmen and the drum rolls. On 16th August, the Palio della Assunta will make your stay in Tuscany absolutely unforgettable, full of fun and emotions, thanks also to the fascinating horse districts among whom there are the Bruco, Valdimontone, Nicchio, Oca.
