Merano lies at the entrance to the Passeiertal/Val Passiria, Vinschgau/Val Venosta, Etschtal/Val d'Adige and Ultental/Val d'Ultimo valleys and can thus be accessed from different directions. The most common way to reach Merano is from the north via Brenner/Brennero Pass, the Brenner/Brennero motorway, via Jaufen/Giovo Pass (Passeiertal/Val Passiria) or via Reschen/Resia Pass (Vinschgau/Val Venosta). Coming from the south the most convenient way is on the motorway to Bolzano. To reach Castle Fragsburg, take the Merano South exit and follow the directions below.
